I am here to talk about the last task of this term: creating an AI-integrated teaching material. For me, using AI is not a new thing since I use it in my daily life for different reasons. However, trying to integrate it into the material for a lesson was exciting and interesting.
We tried to create a dynamic and interactive material using Magic School, an AI platform designed to enhance students’ learning experiences. Since last year we did a similar task by using Magic School and enjoyed it a lot, we knew that it would be really exciting for students.
Our material focused on allowing students to “chat” with famous people. Thanks to Magic School's Character Chatbot, students could simulate conversations with famous people. The activity began with students selecting a figure they'd love to chat with and explaining their choice. Next, students used the chatbot to ask some personal questions. This not only made the learning process engaging but also helped students practice forming questions and gathering information interactively. The final task involved writing a biography of the chosen personality, using insights from the chatbot conversation. Magic School’s AI feedback tool was also utilized, enabling students to refine their writing for style, coherence, and clarity.
