DO YOU KNOW ABOUT INFOGRAPHICS?

Hello everyone !

Today I'll talk about my latest task in Instructional Technologies and Material Design course. As you can understand from the title, the task was creating an infographic. First, I'll briefly explain what an infographic is, then I'll move into details.

Originally the word infographic is the blending of "information" and "graphic"  An infographic represents data or information by using visuals. According to Oxford English Dictionary, "a good infographic is worth a thousand words." With the help of infographics we can present complex ideas and information clearly with a little effort. In my opinion, while teaching new things, instead of using reduntant words or meaningless distracting pictures, using infographics enhances and eases the teaching process a lot.

Actually until last week's ICT and Material Design course, I didn't know anything about infographics. But thanks to this course and this task, now I even know how to create an infographic.👌💪

To tell the truth, at first I thought that it was not an easy task to do but after a little digging into the infographics, I realized that it is not that hard and also it is really important for us to learn something like that as teacher candidates.

For my infographic I chose cyberbullying as a topic. I used a website that our instructor recommended us which named "pictograph". It was easy to use the website. Although it was my first time creating an infographic, I didn't encountered any difficulties. First, I chose a template then I made some changes on it.

I hope you'll like my first infograph, see you soon👋
