In this task, we had 3 choices, I and my pair Nilüfer chose to create a fictional story, because we believed it would be the most engaging and improving one for us as teacher candidates.
Firstly, we chose young learners as our target audience. Then, we started to think about our topic, we brainstormed and we ended up by deciding a fictional story about a rabbit and a turtle's friendship in a forest where animals with differences cannot be friends. As you can understand, our main characters are a rabbit and a turtle, we chose them with a purpose: in most tales the rabbit and the turtle are shown us as antagonist and we wanted to show another perspective to young learners.
After talking some details about our story, I wrote the script and we prepared our storyboard to see the flow of our story. After animations were ready we recorded our voices and it was all done.
To me, the whole process of this task was really fun but if a have to choose the most funny part, it is definitely the recording part. Trying to talk as a lion or a duck was really amusing. 😀
